Recently I visited the Disney and Charles M. Schulz (aka Peanuts) museums for “research” and was inspired to make my own cartoon strip/zine inspired by the recent sunny days in SF! 🌞

It was super cool going to these museums (not just bc of the tax write off) but to see all the history and hard work that goes into creating little cartoons that make people happy. Hearing things like “it took 10 years to get the design of Snoopy right” or how Walt Disney was always draining almost all of his company’s money in the beginning bc he really believed in his ideas reminds me that good things (no matter how silly billy) take time! And something about how people back then and now can appreciate a funny little cartoon guy makes me feel good.
